Pictures and details of work the boys have done, what the customer asked for and how it was achieved, materials used, processes i.e. welding, guillotine, galvanising etc.
EG...David Haigh asked for a set of steps for his house. We made these using durbar plate and 3mm flat steel plate using the guillotine, oxy-acetylene welder, angle grinder and finished off by galvanising.
Plasma cutting is a process that forces a high speed jet of ionized gas through a nozzle. The gas conducts electricity from the torch of the plasma cutter onto the work piece. The plasma heats the metal, melting it and the high speed jet of ionized gas blows the molten metal away, cutting through the material.
Plasma cutting is an accurate and effective way of cutting thin and thick metal. We have hand-held plasma cutters which are used for single cuts and a computer-controlled plasma that can cut any shape with a nice smooth edge. Since plasma cutters produce a very hot and very localized "cone" to cut with, they are extremely useful for cutting sheet metal in curved or angled shapes.
We currently run a Hypertherm plasma cutter. This is used most days and is a much valued piece of equipment. It enables us to get a professional finish to our metal cutting work. From small cuts to larger pieces of work, please get in touch with your requirements.
